Craig Reucassel – “War on Waste”

Craig Reucassel is an Australian writer and comedian who is best known for his work on ABC’s The Chaser and is currently in the latest Chaser’s Hamster Wheel on the ABC. For two years Reucassel co-hosted the drive-time radio show Today Today on Triple J with fellow Chaser Chris Taylor. The pair returned with their Sunday afternoon show Bloody Sunday to do relief shifts for the following two years. Reucassel is presently a Patron of the Left Right Think-Tank, Australia’s first independent and non-partisan youth think-tank. Craig Reucassel appears by arrangement with Claxton Speakers International.

Stacey Thomson – “Ranger Stacey”

We’re very excited to announce “Ranger Stacey” Thomson as a speaker at next year’s World Environment Fair! Stacey Thomson, better known as “Ranger Stacey” started out as a National Parks and Wildlife ranger in Queensland. Stacey has appeared on Australian TV for more than 20 years. Most of us know her from the Logie award winning ‘Agro’s Cartoon Connection’ and Network Ten’s ‘Totally Wild’. We’re super excited to have Stacey as a speaker for next year’s World Environment Fair! ‘Ranger Stacey Thomson’ appears by arrangement with Claxton Speakers International.

Sophie Thomson – “Sophie’s Patch”

One of Australia’s most loved gardeners and a fabulous presenter Sophie author of Sophie’s Patch will talk to audiences about “Sustainable Gardening” – covering the basics of how to make your backyard sustainable including composting, sustainable garden design, sustainable water use and plant selection, plant diversity, produce gardening and the use of sustainable gardening materials and gardening practices.

Simon Bryant – “Tasting Australia”

From the Director of Tasting Australia, Author of Penguin Lantern and TV Presenter on ABC’s ‘The Cook and the Chef‘. Simon will share his passion for cooking – you’ll never see legumes and chick peas the same after seeing his inspiration first hand! It’s a must see! Dr James Ward – “Big Australia, Small Planet”

Dr Ward is Associate Head of School: Teaching & Learning School of Natural & Built Environments and will present on the environmental impact depends on both population and per-capita consumption levels. The relationship between these factors is complex and strangely divisive. This talk will explore some of the difficulties we encounter when we try to discuss population and consumption.
