Department for Environment and Water

The Department for Environment and Water (DEW) plays a critical role in shaping the future of South Australia.

We deliver programs and services that ensure our environment stays healthy and our natural resources continue to deliver wealth and wellbeing.
Our corporate plan arranges our work under four high level goals:

Managing water for the future
Responding to climate change
Sustaining the state’s natural resources
Connecting people to nature, parks and places

By delivering these goals we will achieve our purpose, which is to help South Australian’s conserve, sustain and prosper.
